Nothing like a writer and her coffee cup

I am a writer and being a writer there is a must have that comes along with the package.  My cherished coffee cup. For without coffee, how else can we stay up until the wee hours of the morning cranking out our masterpieces?

Another thing about writers and their coffee cups is that we all have our special one.  My special one broke its handle the other day and I was devastated that I had to call on my back up coffee cup.  It wasn't the same.  I tried not looking at it while I was sipping and the momentum and inspiration wasn't happening.

Yesterday, I was shopping with my daughter and coffee cups certainly wasn't on the list as I had forgotten I really needed another one.  A unique one.  She went one way and I went another and when I was finished, I called her to meet up so we could leave.

"I'm done.  Where are you?" she says.

I was really in the shoe department but I knew she would find me better in the kitchen department so that's what I told her and off to the kitchen department I went.

It was taking incredibly long for her to get up with me so I started browsing.  And something caught my eye.  THE PERFECT COFFEE CUP.  It was called a "tea party" coffee cup and reminded me of Alice in Wonderland, one of my all time favorite children's classics.  I grabbed it.

And this morning had the best cup of coffee in all the world.

Isn't that the most fun thing you've ever seen?  It's perfect!  I fully expect to crank out masterpieces now for sure. It's perfect, perfect, perfect and I dare anyone to touch it.

And being as I'm great at procrastinating when it comes to writing my masterpieces, my mind wandered.  Could be the cup making my mind think of fun things and not work things but it made me wonder what other unusual coffee cups there are out there that you might have never known about had I not discovered them myself so I'm posting a few below.

This first one is quite unusual and not one I would pick up myself but to each his own. I'm not sure what kind of a person would think this was the perfect coffee cup for them?

Now here's one if you're expecting your in-laws anytime.  I'm just wondering if a Margarita would be the better beverage of the moment.

This is probably a cup for seniors - we all know it's a day to remember when you finally poop and why not let the world know it?

For those fishermen in your life....

Coffee cup art - just thought I'd throw this one in.  You can never have too many of these around.

When loving others just isn't enough.

Well I have procrastinated enough.  Time to reheat the coffee and join civilization.  Hope you all have a great weekend!
